Don't be fooled by the cute looks! The oxygen management actually adds a nice layer of difficulty. You can't just stay underwater forever like in other games.

Keyboard controls are tight. The inertia on the submarine feels "floaty" in a good way, like actual water physics, unlike generic platformers.
